when Demons rear their ugly heads…
In Technicolor scenes, the past
is relived, the present
is stifled, and the future
is destroyed.
Nightmarish battles
are waged; lines are
drawn in the sand,
as the war hungry continue
to invade the land.
But you have to Fight!
Take a moment to reflect
on the future, of what could be
Accomplished, if only
the Battles are won -
if only hope was believed in -
If only -
If only you decided life can begin again Today.

Oh My God, did the Mets really trade for Johan Santana? Is this really true? Was yesterday just a blur?
Johan -effin-Santana (while this is not exactly a family site, I suspect my mother reads it…). Johan Santana was top 5 in Cy Young voting for best pitcher in the AL 4 years in a row… and won it 2 of those 4… and holy shit! (Damn, sorry mom) he’s only 28!
I logged onto NYFS this morning, before I had an ounce of coffee in my system, and to my great joy… the Mets trading for Santana was not a dream from last night! It really happened! I’ve been doing the happy dance for the last hour… browsing through the excitement that Mets Fans tried to convey all last night. And to think I was going to back up my laptop and format c yesterday afternoon. Thank goodness I didn’t!
The 2008 Season has already begun for me and Mets Fans everywhere and I can’t WAIT for Spring Training!

The band, Five for Fighting, is donating money to Autism Speaks for each time a video is viewed. Their goal is 10,000 views. The funding goes toward research studies to help find a cure for Autism.
