Sen. Chuck Grassley: Giuliani’s Curtailed Iowa Campaign ‘A Big Mistake’
Republican Sen. Charles Grassley of Iowa said today it was a “big mistake” for GOP presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani to cut back on his campaigning in Iowa.
Giuliani, regarded as the national front-runner, will face problems winning the nomination if he doesn’t finish in at least second place in the New Hampshire primary later this month, Grassley said in a phone interview from his farm in New Hartford. “It’s a big mistake on his part” to not spend more time in Iowa and benefit from support here, Grassley said.
